Maps series comments on the colonial history, intersecting the themes of Control, Power and History. Initially created as a commentary on the Portuguese occupations of Africa, the series uses maps as the central subject, interpreting visually the historical period. These works were initially developed for the group show Superpower: Africa in Science Fiction, exhibited at the Arnolfini Gallery in 2012.
